A Virtual Midi Keyboard
You can play various instruments on this app sounding like a grand piano, oboe, flute etc. Keyboard Sounds supports the full keyboard range of 88 keys like a real piano.
Great Sound
Keyboard Sounds is based on the well-known Fluid R3 sample set. This guarantees a great sound. It includes the following instruments:
Piano
Flute
Oboe
Violin
Harp
Guitar
Fretless bass
Bandoneon
Sitar
256 Polyphonic
Up to 256 notes can sound simultaneously.
Multitouch
Keyboard Sounds supports multi-touch i.e. you can press multiple keys at the same moment. The number of simultaneously pressed keys is only limited by your Android device.
Velocity
If your devices supports screen pressure, Keyboard Sounds can use this to change the loudness depending on the strength of you touch. Velocity via Midi is supported too.
Sustain
The Midi implementation also supports sustain (“hold”) pedals.
Midi via USB
Keyboard Sounds supports Midi via USB, i.e. you can connect your keyboard or other midi source to your Android device to play Keyboard Sounds e.g. from your keyboard or to play e.g. a midi expander from Keyboard Sounds. You need an Android device with USB-Host support (e.g. the Asus TF101, Acer A500 or the Galaxy Nexus), at least Android 3.1 and a class compliant Midi/USB interface (i.e. a Midi/USB interface that does not need a driver on Windows/Mac) for this. It’s not necessary to root your device.
Midi Player
Keyboard Sounds includes a player for standard midi files and comes with 53 midi files included. You can easily play midi files stored on your phone or select a midi file in your phones web browser. The playback speed can be adjusted.
